5 Crappy Facebook Apps That Should Never, Ever Have Been Made – Farmville Download
Filed Under : Hack Farmville Cheats by Bobby
Jul.19,2010According to whatever experts keep track of these things, Farmville is officially the most downloaded Facebook application in the social networking site’s history—and if you ask some of my crankier friends, it’s one of the worst Facebook applications ever as well. Now, I’m remaining neutral on Farmville but it got me thinking—what really are the 5 worst Facebook applications?
After browsing through thousands of the worst Facebook applications, I may have lost my faith in humanity but I also answered my inquire. Without further delay, here they are—the 5 worst Facebook applications:
Haiti Click Donations – This app claims to let your friends beget donations to non profit charity organizations which aid earthquake victims—all right from your profile. How noble, legal? Unfortunately, this so-called fundraiser app seems to be a scam designed to get people to click on ads and sign up for promotions—there’s no notice the donations go to Haiti at all. Ugh.
Purple Square – Some time last year a guy named Karl was staring at his Facebook profile and suddenly realized what it was missing: a giant, glaringly useless purple square. In a stroke of genius, Karl changed that forever. His Purple Square application is purple and square and has attracted a huge number of fans. Well, seven fans actually, but they’re all very dedicated. But I’m afraid it isn’t doing it for me—this colorful application closes out the list as the last of the five worst Facebook apps.
SuperWall, FunWall, AwesomeWall, MyWallIsSoBetterThanYourFriendsWall, etc. – There aren’t enough fingers on my hands to count the various “wall” applications which try to improve on the social network’s default wall. But what’s wrong with the default? These days you can even embed music, videos, pictures, links… Let’s face it, all these apps were a bad belief from the start.
Superpoke – It’s never been clear to me what this app is for. I mean…you poke someone. Then what? And why? It’s not like people poke each other in real life. Superpoke has also created a number of sticky social situations. For instance, is it okay for a straight man to poke another man? How soon should you roam someone after a date? At any rate, it seems like the general population of Facebook has gotfive over its fascination with this application, leaving it to rot as our #9 worst Facebook application.
Best Video Around – What’s that? You don’t know what the best video around is? Ah, you must be new to the internet. Let me jog your memory—never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down… That’s right, this “clever” app embeds Rick Astley’s infamous “Never Gonna Give You Up” video into your social profile so you can “rick roll” all your friends. I don’t know, maybe this was funny in 2008, but this is one internet meme that should have died a long time ago. The same goes for the Facebook application.
In hindsight, maybe thinking there would only be 5 worst Facebook applications was too optimistic of me. There are probably a million apps that could have made this list. What I want to know is, who are the developers who honestly thought these applications needed made? And what in the world possesses the people who have actually download the five worst Facebook applications listed above? We may never know. But it’s not all bad—here’s hoping your Facebook farms grow plentiful and prosperous!
