FrontierVille is fast becoming another smash hit on Facebook for social game makers Zynga. Set in a compelling Wild West frontier world, the game manages to balance out some of the more tedious aspects of the other Facebook games developed by the company. By adding a story element and limiting repetitive actions through the energy bar, FrontierVille manages to build on what made games like FarmVille and Cafe World so successful while steering sure of the things that don’t work so well.

The tasks ahead of you in FarmVille are many and varied. Not only will you need to clear a ranch out in the wilderness, but you will also be building up a bustling frontier city. While handling these tasks you also have to find the time to get married and start your own family. All this on a very limited amount of energy that will have you worn out more often than you’d like. To move ahead quickly in the game, try out these tips and cheats that help maximize energy and your levels.

Controlled leveling

If you have played other Facebook games that has energy requirements such as Treasure Isle or Mafia Wars you will probably be familiar with this tip. One of the great benefits of leveling up in FrontierVille is that your energy is replenished when you reach a new level. This means that paying careful attention to when you are close to leveling up is essential. Never level up with a full energy bar. The lower you can work your energy before reaching a new level the better.

In FrontierVille tasks don’t always yield the same experience points every time. This can make it difficult to estimate exactly when you will level up. One way of controlling this is to finish off the last few experience points needed by buying decorations at the market. For 200 coins you can retract a stylish fence that always yields to experience points as well. Fences makes your ranch look good, but they can be a great tool in controlling when you level up.

Mow the grass

Clearing grass and wild flowers seems at the outset like a low yield activity. The kind of action you leave for last when everything else is tended to. This is not the case however, clearing grass is actually one of the most rewarding activities in the game. The reason is the frequent drops of flowers that you can collect. The wildflower collection can be traded in as many times as you like (as long as you have a complete set) and becomes a valuable tool for leveling up. Allow your grass to develop into wild flowers and watch as the flowers fall left and right when they are cleared.

The large benefit of collecting flowers is in the experience point bonus for trading it in. Never trade in your flower series when you complete it, just keep it sitting around until you need it. The 100 experience points are a great way to finish off a level. Work your energy all the scheme down and then trade in a flower collection (or two or three) for a experience boost that sends you to the next level and fills you up with sweet energy.

Farm your friends

In fact, having a ready supply of wild flowers and grass to clear is so important that it is worth collecting neighbors that don’t play the game. If you can talk your Facebook friends into starting a game of FrontierVille even if they don’t intend to play it you have struck goal. Their neglect of their homestead will allow the grass and flowers to run rampant. Not only will you be able to harvest tons of wild flowers from these inactive neighbors, you will also gain a lot of money and reputation for compulsively picking their wild flowers.

Rattle the snake

Clearing grass comes with the unavoidable hazard of stirring up the unusual rattle snake. These are annoying as they keep you from clearing the area around them and they require a lot of energy to get rid of. Rattle snakes are however a great resource once finally conquered. They yield a good amount of money and experience points as well as food. Ugh. To turn the snake from nuisance to gold mine take advantage of the fact that snakes always retreat towards the bottom corner of your conceal. Clear grass primarily in this corner and when you find a snake it will be close to the edge of the map. If you can send it off the map it will tumble all of its resources even if you only had to whomp it once. If you can trap the snake in the corner like this you can earn a vast amount of resources fro very minute energy spent.

Finally, when playing the game ravishing just doesn’t get you where you want to be fast enough, there is always cheating. As with any of the Facebook games, you can do some fancy stuff with the chat engine program. I am not a big fan of the cheat engine as it goes in and directly manipulates the memory used by your web browser. I prefer to find clever workarounds and glitches in the game itself.

The best FrontierVille cheat is the unlimited energy cheat. Make sure to have one of your neighbors gift you a meal. The gift will be available in your inventory. Click the use button to get the energy boost from the gifted meal. When you reopen your inventory list, the meal will unruffled be there and you can click use again. In fact the meal will be available until the game is reloaded. This cheat essentially lets you spend unlimited energy.

Not really a cheat, but a good tip can be to go to the FrontierVille facebook discussion page. Here you can demand friends to support you in the game. Asking for friends here will land you more neighbors than you can handle.
